Australia: Wrestling fans across the Asia-Pacific region are set for the return of CLASH, the international wrestling television concept that was originally announced in 2025 as a partnership involving AEx Sport, part of Bangalore-based AdiGroupe, and Prasar Bharati’s DD Sports.

The planned Indian launch of CLASH was scheduled for September 27, 2025, in Delhi, but was called off approximately 48 hours before the event. According to information surrounding the cancelled event, the launch was abandoned amid financial difficulties affecting AdiGroupe. The cancellation reportedly left a number of international wrestlers and suppliers facing outstanding payments.

Following the cancellation, AdiGroupe principal Mr. Sanjay Viswanathan indicated that CLASH could be relaunched later in 2025. However, the proposed relaunch did not take place, and Viswanathan has subsequently been unavailable for comment.

CLASH Finds a New Home in Australia

In a major development for wrestling fans, CLASH is now set for a new chapter in Australia, with Australian wrestling company Oceania Pro Wrestling stepping in to help secure the future of the project.

The Australian relaunch is expected to feature wrestlers from across the Asia-Pacific region, including leading talent from India, giving CLASH an opportunity to build an international wrestling platform with a stronger regional identity.

A major CLASH television taping is also planned at an international cricket venue in Australia, marking an ambitious new chapter for the wrestling brand.

The move to Australia provides CLASH with a fresh opportunity to develop its television concept while bringing together wrestlers and audiences from across the wider Asia-Pacific wrestling community.

A Second Chance for CLASH

The original vision for CLASH was to create a television wrestling property capable of bringing international wrestling talent to a wider audience. Following the difficulties surrounding the planned Indian launch, the project has now been given a new opportunity through its Australian relaunch.

Oceania Pro Wrestling’s involvement is expected to provide a new foundation for CLASH as the promotion looks to establish the show in the Australian market and develop its international wrestling network.

For wrestlers from India and other Asia-Pacific countries, the project could also create a new platform to showcase regional talent to international audiences.

India Return Targeted for 2027

While the immediate focus is on establishing CLASH in Australia, the long-term vision remains international.

CLASH is expected to seek new investors and strategic partners to support the show’s future expansion, with the goal of bringing major CLASH television tapings back to India in 2027.

The proposed return would give the project an opportunity to revisit its original Indian ambitions with a new structure, new backing, and an expanded Asia-Pacific wrestling network.

The Australian relaunch therefore represents more than simply a change of location. It marks the rebirth of CLASH and a renewed effort to establish an international wrestling property capable of connecting talent from India, Australia, and the wider Asia-Pacific region.
