BENGALURU, February 28, 2026 – The Bengaluru skyline is having a bit of a moment, and today, one project stood out for all the right reasons. NBR Group was presented with the award for “Excellence in High-Rise & Premium Residential Projects” for their flagship development, NBR Soul of the Seasons located near the Sarjapur Road – Gunjur IT corridor belt. The trophy was handed over during the Evolving South India Business Excellence Awards 2026, held on the 21st of February 2026 at the Ramada by Wyndham in Yelahanka. The event, which started at 6:00 PM, saw a massive turnout of industry veterans and business leaders.

The award was received by Mr. Ravi Kumar, General Manager Sales & Marketing from the NBR Group, from the Celebrity Chief Guest, Olympic Medallist Ms. Saina Nehwal. The jury noted that while Bengaluru is seeing a surge in high rise  buildings, NBR Soul of the Seasons managed to differentiate itself by focusing on the quality of life inside the four walls. The project, which rises between 22 and 26 floors, was praised for its “Elemental Living” concept, which is quite a departure from the typical concrete boxes we often see in the city.

India’s urban centers are currently at a breaking point, making projects like NBR Soul of the Seasons a necessity rather than a luxury. As cities like Bengaluru, Mumbai, and Delhi grapple with record-breaking heatwave conditions, water scarcity, and shrinking green covers, the traditional “matchbox” apartment model is no longer sustainable. We are witnessing a crisis of “nature deficit” among urban dwellers, leading to rising stress and lifestyle-related health issues. India desperately needs high-rise developments that move away from maximum-density greed and toward biophilic design. By integrating massive green buffers, natural ventilation, and water-positive systems into the vertical format, developers can mitigate the “Urban Heat Island” effect that plagues our metros. Projects that reserve a large proportion of their land to nature while providing high-quality housing is the only way to ensure our future cities remain liveable, breathable, and resilient against climate shifts.

This recognition comes as South India really hits its stride as a business powerhouse. If you look at the 2026 fiscal data, the Southern states are currently contributing nearly 31% to India’s GDP. Within this, Bengaluru is the clear leader. The city recently recorded over 12 million square feet of office leasing from Global Capability Centers (GCC’s) alone, which is nearly three times more than its nearest competitors. This boom has created a new class of home buyers, people who have lived abroad and now expect the same “resort-style living ” here in India.

NBR Group’s ‘NBR Soul of the Seasons’ addresses this head-on. Located in the Sarjapur–Gunjur IT corridor, the project is spread over 9.65 acres, but here is the interesting part: almost 88% of that land is just open space and greenery. In a city like Bengaluru, where every square inch counts, dedicating that much land to nature is a bold move. The group used advanced aluminium formwork technology for construction of the towers, ensuring that the finish is sharp and the structure is solid enough to last generations.

Reflecting on the achievement, Mr. Nagabushana Reddy, CEO, Founder & Managing Director of NBR Group, “When we started on this project, I told my team that I did not want us to just add another concrete tower to the skyline. I wanted to build something where people could feel like they are breathing again. By bringing in the GAIA philosophy, we really focused on those core elements—Air, Earth, Water, Fire, and Space, and how they affect our daily lives. Honestly, winning this award is a huge moment for us because it proves that we are onto something important. These days, luxury is not just about expensive tiles, it is about coming home after a gruelling day and feeling at peace. We are trying to show the industry that a high-rise does not have to feel disconnected from nature. To me, this is exactly how urban India needs to grow.”

The journey of NBR Group itself is quite an evolution. Founded in 1998, the NBR Group started with plotted development projects both in the mid level and premium category. Over the years,NBR Group has delivered over 12 million square feet and served thousands of families. NBR Group has moved from horizontal growth to vertical mastery, all while keeping the reputation for transparency intact, something that is not always easy in the real estate business.

As the evening at Ramada by Wyndham drew to a close,  it was clear that NBR Group has carved out a unique space for itself. By focusing on wellness-themed clubhouses and cross-ventilated homes, NBR Group are not just selling apartments but are selling a better way to live in a city that is growing faster than ever
